Groundwater Level Monitoring

The District collects water level measurements from water wells located with Victoria County.  As part of its efforts to monitoring aquifer conditions, the District collects synoptic water levels from water wells within Victoria County during February-March and August-September of each year.

The District, in cooperation with Calhoun County GCD, Refugio GCD, and Texana GCD, funded a project to update the report titled Application of Geostatistical Techniques to Quantify Changes in Water Levels using water level measurements from year 2022.

The District, in cooperation with Calhoun County GCD, Refugio GCD, and Texana GCD, funded a project to update the report titled Application of Geostatistical Techniques to Quantify Changes in Water Levels using water level measurements from year 2021.

The District, in cooperation with Calhoun County GCD, Refugio GCD, and Texana GCD, funded a study of water level data using advanced geostatistical methods by Intera Inc.  The study resulted in a report titled Application of Geostatistical Techniques to Quantify Changes in Water Levels being produced in May 2021The report contains an assessment of groundwater level changes within Jackson, Victoria, Calhoun, and Refugio Counties between year 2000 and year 2020.

The District funded a study of water level data by Golder Associates LLC for the region and Victoria County in October 2018.  The report was updated by Golder Associates LLC in September 2019.
